They arrived in early July… and here they are just 6 days old.  You might remember their Mama’s maternity session on the beach, it seems like the other day to me and before I knew it,  they were here!   Photographing newborn twins can be twice the work, but they are twice as fun and twice as sweet.   I love how they settle down to sleep so peacefully when their sibling is near.   Most of these were shot on the very same blanket that Mom  had wrapped around her in her maternit session…

And it’s so cool how, even at just 6 days old, they each have their own unique personalities…

One of my favorites from the session… that’s a little smile there…

Congrats again to the B family – you have a beautiful family!

And the winner is: Dean!   Well, actually, Dean’s mommy.  She won one of a few prizes I donated to the lifamilies.com Bridal Luncheon this year.   When I donated a complimentary newborn session – I had no idea it would go to someone already expecting – so I put an expiration date of 2011 on the gift certificate.  I was absolutely thrilled to find out it went to someone already expecting and very deserving.  J & V,  you are a lovely couple and now a beautiful new little family – congratulations again!

So happy to finally share this session with you … meet Mac & Peyton:  brother and sister, about a year or so apart.   I love seeing siblings this close together in age because you just know how close they are going to be growing up together.  Mac was so adorable, grabbing a hold of my hand almost right away, we ran off to play together and had a blast during this session.   Mom joked with me about how he would’ve gone home with me.   I loved capturing both their blooming little personalities.

Warning to future clients:  I am currently obsessed with white – you will probably hear me recommend white something during your pre-session consultation - don’t know how long this will last, but I am just loving it…

I love, love a classic headshot.  Crisp eyes with solid eye contact, a great smile – creamy bokeh in the background…. there is something so timeless about it…

And really,  there aren’t much cuter things in this world than a baby grabbing toes… irresistible cuteness!  But it’s her eyes that really draw me in here…

You can’t help but smile right along with him here…

Again with those eyes!

And finally – some sibling fun!

My jaw dropped when I opened the email that said “well,  my son came about 5 weeks early…”   I’ve gotten my fair share of early newborns but 5 weeks definitely wins the prize for earliest.   Baby C was a healthy 6lbs 4 oz at birth and as strong as any full term baby.  But he was putty in my hands, so cooperative, and a complete pleasure to photograph.   Congratulations R & T on your beautiful baby boy!

My husband and I went on a quick weekend getaway a couple of months ago to New Hope, PA.  We stayed at this excellent B&B and I picked up this vintage cranberry crate while exploring the local antique shops… it’s a new favorite for sure and Baby C was so awesome to let me try it for the first time.   It’s now my new gallery wrapped canvas sample (photo of that coming soon!)

He was also really good in my twiggy basket…
